Work to begin on the Natural England Coastal Path project from Warblington Road to Nore Barn Woods in September.
Following consultations with local
residents and final approval by the planning inspector work
on the revised proposals for Natural England’s coast path,
now renamed "The King Charles III England
Coast Path" will begin on September 1st
when the footpath from Warblington Road to Nore Barn woods
will be closed until 1st March 2026.
It is anticipated that the path or
elements of it will not be closed for the entirety of this
time but that public access will be restricted for short
periods of time whilst certain elements of the work will be
undertaken – contractor to determine timings – this will be
to ensure the safety of both the public and the team working
on site.
The main elements of the plan are:
1.
Construction of a board walk
from the end of the existing tarmac path to the Maisemore
Garden Slipway.
2.
Raising the level of the
bridge (culvert) over the Steam.
3.
A new level unbound surface
lel path rom the Maisemore Gardens Slipway to the culvert
and beyond towards Nore bBarn Woods and associated drainage
works.
