Fat Olives
A quaint
17th Century Fisherman's cottage near the quay which has
been converted into a brasserie style restaurant.
Having spent several years working in large corporate
hotels, Lawrence and Julia Murphy decided to ‘go it alone’
with their first Restaurant, Fat Olives which opened in
January 2000.
A combination of Lawrence’s earlier career, spending time in
kitchens in France & Switzerland, along with Julia’s front
office sales skills, gave rise to them becoming ‘The News
Restaurant of the Year’ runners up in their first year of
opening.
Recommended in the three main restaurant guides for 2002.

Spencer's Restaurant
Spencer's Restaurant & Brasserie, Emsworth was opened in May
1988 by Chef, Denis Spencer and wife Lesley.
The first floor restaurant in Emsworth offers a comfortable
and relaxed atmosphere with the added touch of real gas
lighting. The main section of the restaurant is non-smoking
and there is a private dining room for 8/10 people.
The
ground floor brasserie has a more relaxed and casual
atmosphere.
