Noel Kinnell 1869 - 1927

Noel Kinnell,  an almost forgotten Emsworth Resident

Little appears to be known about this Emsworth resident who died 88 years ago.

He was a JP,  county councillor a Warblington UD councillor and chairman of the council for six years and managing director of the Kinnell and Hartley Brewery located behind the Coal Exchange in what is now South Street car park.

He is commemorated with a plaque on the Mill Pond wall by the Slipper Sailing Club recording his generosity in defraying the whole expense of the erection of the sea wall  and promenade.
