Wednesday 16th June Fairport Convention a WemsFest production at Emsworth Baptist Church 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm Street Fairport Convention has been entertaining music lovers for over half a century. During that time the band that launched British folk-rock has seen many changes. But one thing has remained the same - Fairport’s passion for performance. This year’s Spring Tour concert will present a mix of long-established Fairport favourites and some surprises from albums old and new including Full House, which was released 50 years ago this year. Monday 5th July  Damien O’Kane & Ron Block a WemsFest production at Chidham Village Hall, Main Road 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm A welcome return to Chidham Village Hall for US banjo maestro Ron Block, this time in the company of Irish multi-instrumentalist Damien O'Kane. Together they recorded the excellent 2018 release 'Banjophony' and only their respective touring and recording commitments have kept them apart since then. In 2020, she celebrates her 40th year on stage with the ‘40 Years Live’ concert tour. From her earliest years playing the folk clubs of western Scotland and learning how to street sing across Europe (like her hero Edith Piaf) Eddi's path soon lead her to a professional career in music as a backing singer for Eurythmics and Gang of Four. Wednesday 24th November Skerryvore a WemsFest production at Emsworth Baptist Church 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm  Take two brothers, Daniel (Accordion) and Martin Gillespie (pipes, whistles and accordion), steeped in the Scottish west coast ceilidh tradition on the Isle of Tiree, and add in friends Fraser West (drums) and Alec Dalglish (guitar and vocals), with a background in brass bands, wind bands, jazz bands, and with blues, folk and country influences, and you have the 2005, embryonic Skerryvore.
