All these works are for sale. We have several new artists exhibiting this year with some exciting work. There are competitions for the most popular watercolour in the exhibition, and we ask the visitors to vote. Restaurant 36 on the Quay
Private Tutored Wine Evenings

For the very first time, Restaurant 36 on the Quay is delighted to offer a unique Private Wine Tutored Evening. The evenings are designed for private parties and are intended to be both informative and fun with each one being individually tailor made. Held in our private room, the evening will commence with a glass of an appropriate aperitif, while local wine writer Alistair Gibson gives some background on the evening's theme before a four course meal is served. Every menu will be specially designed by Ramon Farthing and will be
complemented by a selection of fine and interesting wines. Each course willbe accompanied by a glass of wine with Alistair discussing the wine and giving reasons for its choice, which will no doubt promote interesting and lively conversation around the table.
·

The evenings are designed to accommodate between 6 and 11 people and will be held in our private room

· The theme of the evening can be discussed and decided beforehand with both Ramon and Alistair. Possible ideas for themes could be:-

  • Spain Life beyond Rioja?

  •  A Trip down the Rhone

  • South Africa New or Old World?

  • Old Vine Barossa Valley

  •  Reflections of Burgundy.

Prices start from £65 per person depending on the theme and include:-

  • An aperitif and canapés on arrival

  • A specially chosen four course menu, followed by coffee and petits fours

  • A wine to complement each course

  • Alistair hosting and tutoring the evening

  • Specially printed menus and background notes on the wines for each guest

    · Available on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday evening

If you are looking to organise an occasion that is both a little bit different, as well as informative and maybe thought provoking, which includes fine wine and Michelin starred cuisine, then these evenings are a perfect choice.
