At Georges Day parade


The parade will start at 10.30am with Veterans from various conflicts going back more than 60 years marching with 12 Regiment Royal Artillery and military band of the Royal Artillery through Emsworth. Children will also accompany the parade from Thorney Island Primary School and Emsworth Primary. It will culminate in St Peters’ Square in front of the Mayor of Havant, Cllr Marjorie Smallcorn and the Commanding Officer of 12 Regiment Royal Artillery. Entertainment will include the George Regis Jazz Band and there will be a street collection on behalf of local branches of SSAFA.

Friday 24 April  Tuppenny Tots – Making Flowers  10am / 1½ hours Have fun with craft and play activities at Tuppenny Barn. These sessions are especially for pre-school children and their parents. Saturday 25 April  Circle Dance with Claire Wilton  2:30pm / 2 hours  Celebrate Earth Day with a fun afternoon of circle dancing. This is a very easy to follow dance style where all steps are taught as you go. We will be dancing to beautiful music from around the world. Suitable for all, no partner required. The event is being organised and led by local dance teacher Claire Wilton with all proceeds going towards the Tuppenny Barn build project.

Tickets: £8 includes a drink and homemade cake.

Monday 27 April  Introduction to Homeopathy  7:30pm / 2 hours

Homeopathy is a safe, gentle, effective and non-toxic route to the restoration and enhancement of health. This evening, local homeopath Diana Tibble will help us discover how to use homeopathy for the treatment of minor ailments and illnesses within the family. Homeopathy first aid kits will be on sale.

Open 10am-4pm each day

Tuppenny Barn will be transformed into an art gallery for the Bank Holiday weekend. This weekend we are showcasing the work of Gordon Rushmer, Di Collins, Mike Walker and Tricia Wellings. Meet the artists, art is one sale along with cards and gifts and visit our pop-up café with homemade cakes.
