Emsworth Local Produce Market thisSaturday and this month we
will be focusing on COFFEE!
April 12th, Inside 35 South Street, Emsworth Market
launches 'Where to find good coffee in Emsworth' Leaflet.
We have produced a little leaflet to guide visitors and
residents to all the best coffee spots in Emsworth and we
will be handing this out to all morning to our customers.
This leaflet has been warmly received by the local cafes,
several of which have asked to stock supplies. The
Brookfield Hotel generously offered to fund the printing
costs of the leaflet as a way of supporting local businesses
in Emsworth (www.brookfieldhotel.co.uk).

We will also be supporting UK
Coffee Week and every time anyone buys a cup of coffee we
will be donating 10p to Project Waterfall (see below). UK
Coffee Week really is for everyone who enjoys coffee and
wants to give something back to the countries which produce
the beans we all love so much. Project Waterfall is
the central focus for fundraising during UK Coffee Week. In
2014 £100,000 needs to be raised to complete to provide safe
water to the remote community of Mbulu in Tanzania.
Project Waterfall in
partnership with WaterAid provides safe drinking water, good
hygiene and improved sanitation to some of the poorest
communities in the coffee growing regions of Africa. It is currently
supporting over 8,000 people in Mbulu district in Tanzania.
The Crafted Coffee Company -
Coffee Demonstration June 14th
to raise funds for The
Rosemary Foundation. One of our regular traders is a
small micro-roastery based just outside Oving, near Chichester. The
Crafted Coffee Company will be hosting a coffee cupping
demonstration on Saturday June 14th, and will be taking
bookings for this event at our market on April 12th. A
coffee cupping is the coffee equivalent of a wine-tasting
and pre-booking is essential because spaces are quite
limited. This will an enjoyable experience for anyone who
thinks they know their beans!
The Crafted Coffee Company is
organising this event to raise funds for The Rosemary
Foundation, a local charity supported in lots of different
ways by the market.
